Wedding of Anna & Kijay Kimis

28 December, 2013

We were engaged by Anna and Kijay to plan and coordinate their big wedding. Anna wanted her wedding theme to bring out her Indian roots and love of all things Bollywood. Kijay studied in England and admires the English culture and formality in weddings.

By fusing both their ideas and personalities together we proposed the theme ‘Taste of British India’ to them – a compromise they loved. With that we considered combining subtle Indian and English elements into the wedding to give guest just a little taste of it. The colours associated with their wedding were turquoise, gold and ivory.

For the ceremony the boy’s party wore western suits, whilst the girl’s party donned elegant sarees put together by us with the help of fashion blogger, Soma Rachel George of rachinfashion.

The ceremony was prettily styled with wild flowers inspired by the English winter.

The reception on the other hand was styled with subtle British India elements. From a signature British India photo booth to English Styled Crosswords, the wedding was what they hoped for.
