Shakti: Women Behaving Badly

20 March, 2015

We were engaged by Kamini of MoonShadow Stories to style and design a set for ‘Shakti: Women Behaving Badly – Tales from Indian Folklore’ as she celebrates World Storytelling Day 2015. Strictly for an adult audience, the performance consisted of stories of some of Kamini’s signature tales that she has been telling since 2003.

Upon receiving the brief and understanding the theme of the stories, we came up with the idea of styling a set around a simple South Indian home with elements from each story. The ambience of the set was there to add imagery to the stories told.
